June Newsletter 2025

Green Forrest with a pathway, featured on the XCL June Newsletter on the website

We’re almost halfway through the year already, and since the start of the year within the local economies there has been a significant growth in several sectors, including those such as Healthcare, Retail, IT and Hospitality, to name a few.

However, here at XCL Group – specific to our recruitment - we have noticed a particular increase in the number of jobs within the Construction and Engineering sectors and most of the time you’ll find these jobs go hand in hand, working alongside each other.

Why are jobs in these sectors so important?

Engineering plays an essential part to every product, gadget and system we use in everyday life and engineers are critical to influencing the improvement and progression of our world, whether this be through technology, construction, design etc. and everything from computers and phones to cars and bridges, are all designed and produced by engineers.

Many people don’t even realise the work that engineers put in – because if something works, you don’t notice it!

Engineering is such a wide sector, covering a variety of areas such as:

  • Civil Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Software Engineering

Construction jobs (just like engineering) offer a wide range of opportunities, allowing people to make a substantial change to the world around them, providing a steady flow of work and opportunities for development, which in turn makes an impression on local economies and can offer various career paths.

Again, construction is a vast sector covering four main areas:

  • Residential Construction

  • Commercial Construction

  • Industrial Construction

  • Infrastructure Construction

Here at XCL Group, we often have many job roles in both these sectors which are linked below.

So whether you're looking for a shift within these sectors or you're a company requiring help recruiting for Engineering or Construction roles, then please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at our XCL Office.
