In the Spotlight

Spotlights shining on wording of Job Of The Month, featured on XCL group website

Job of the Month

It’s that time of the month again where we’re highlighting our job of the month.

Let's see what job is in the spotlight for June.......

Moulding Operative – Runcorn

This role is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking company who are looking for long term, permanent employees, to help grow the business and keep up with their busy order book. The company are invested in their employees as they tend to promote from within the business, so this could be a brilliant stating point in someone’s career.

Primarily the role involves minding the machines and inspecting the parts on a regular basis, so would be ideal for someone who has previously worked in injection moulding.

Unlike many of our other roles, this one also offers a 3 week rotating shift pattern of:

·        6.30am – 3pm

·        2.30pm – 11pm

·        10.30pm – 7am

(all worked between Monday – Friday)

Rotating shift patterns aren’t suited for everyone, but it can come with its benefits, such as:

·        Skill Development – different shifts mean employees get to experience a variety of tasks, creating cross-training opportunities.

·        Increased Flexibility – a variety in hours / days can help in accommodating family and personal commitments as well as contributing to a better work-life balance.

·        Lower Commute Times – working shifts that fall during non-peak hours can mean a shorter and less stressful journey to work.

·        Fair Shift Distribution – ensuring all employees share working the popular and unpopular shifts, generating a sense of fairness and equality.

·        Increased Job Satisfaction – having variety in the shifts and tasks carried out, can mean you’re more engaged, i.e. not getting stuck in a monotonous routine, leading to a more involved team.
