Our client are a market leader within the lifting / handling equipment and electrical powered vehicles sector and are looking to grow their team within their busy manufacturing and servicing depot based in Oldham. They are looking for someone who with work as part of the customer support team and ideally has come from a technical background and ideally who would have past experience of manual handling equipment or electric vehicles. This company do value their staff and where possible look for the potential of further progression within the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with clients over the phone to deal with any incoming queries and where possible rectify any issues which arise.
  • Our client operate a same day response where they aim to get back to any queries the same day and put in place a plan by liaising with the parts and service teams.
  • Continuously updating the customers throughout the repair projects and meticulously updating the customer records and reports.
  • Liaising with the field engineers and workshop team and communicating any problems with products and services so that these can be rectified and even carry out training so that everyone is aware of any possible problems.
  • Agreeing on stock levels for parts in the warehouse by working with the parts lead and management.
  • Adhering to all health and safety & Lifting Equipment regulations which sometimes will require RAMs to be written for the field work that is undertaken.
  • Monitoring the skill set of the workshop and field engineers and liaising with the Workshop Controller and Technical Support Lead.

Job Requirements:

  • Past experience working with either lifting equipment or electric vehicles.
  • Experience working in a customer support / technical support position and have excellent communication skills.
  • Ideally have an NVQ L3 in Mechanics or Auto-electrical diagnostics background.
  • It would be advantageous to hold an IOSH & LOLER accreditation.

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm
  • Friday 8am – 2pm

Our client work with customers throughout the UK and across the world so not every day will be the same dealing with different products and customers.
