Description

We are working with a thriving injection moulding company based in Wythenshawe and due to an upturn in work, they’re looking to grow their team. This would be a great opportunity to join a friendly team, where they look to progress their staff and promote from within.

For this role they are looking for someone who is competent with setting from start to finish and who will be able to assist with sampling & optimise cycles where possible.

Job Responsibilities:

Set up robots and change robot heads.
Ensure stock quantities are maintained for spares, consumables for moulding and machines and are available.
To work alongside others (may include Production Team Leaders, Operators, Maintenance Engineers) to set up, operate, maintain and debug any assigned equipment.
Recommend improvements or modifications to increase productivity, quality and/or reduce waste.
Produce first offs to drawing specification and using necessary documentation.
Ensure that moulding processes are running correctly and to the correct cycle time.
Perform mould tool changes in line with the daily production plan.
To carry out mould tool sampling and produce sample reports / setting sheets as necessary.
Trouble shoot processes and correct as necessary alongside correct documentation as required.
Ensure mould tools are properly stored & in their correct location.
Make sure machines are left tidy and free of tools/equipment.
Clean any assigned machinery as required.
To promote, maintain and action 5S and lean management activities within certain areas.

Job Requirements:

Familiar with Lean manufacturing and 5S Process.
Significant experience in tool changes and processes to achieve quality standards.
Conforming to Health and Safety regulations throughout the building.

Hours:

Mon – Thurs
Rotating shifts (6am – 6pm & 6pm – 6am)
