Description

XCL Group are working alongside an expanding company who are looking for people to join them at a large manufacturing site in West Yorkshire. This opportunity offers the potential of long term employment and they’re currently looking for hard working and reliable individuals to become a key part of their manufacturing department.

Job Responsibilities:

Identify the correct fabric type and lengths; according to job requirements
Follow instructions to keep machines clean and in a safe condition.
Alerting management of any issues, that may affect the quality of finished products. i.e faults, inconsistencies etc. before the fabric moves to the next department.
Present cut fabric in an orderly manner, making sure the correct worksheet is kept with each batch, between processes.
Using manual handling aids and lifting equipment to move fabric between departments.
Being responsible for safety, e.g. keeping storage areas, emergency routes, walkways, and machine access points tidy.
Adhering to health and safety policies.

Job Requirements:

Good hand eye co-ordination.
Ability to follow instructions.
Good Basic Literacy and numeracy skills.
Can work well as part of a team, as well as individually – using own initiative.
Being prepared to learn new skills as and when necessary.
Please Note: This is a physically demanding role, which will involve being on your feet and the manual handling of heavy roles of fabric.

Hours:

This is a night shift role ONLY, working Monday - Friday 10pm till 6am, finishing into Saturday morning.
